About StackAdvise
StackAdvise exists to answer one question properly: which software stack should an agency, consultancy, or lean B2B team actually run? Not the twenty-item listicle answer — the tested one.
What we do
We sign up for the tools we cover, build real workflows in real trial accounts, and time what vendors' marketing pages gloss over: how long until a working pipeline, which features are actually gated behind which tier, what breaks. Then we publish one clear recommendation per situation, with the reasoning attached.
When we compared CRMs, we didn't paraphrase feature lists — we measured 15 minutes to a working pipeline in Pipedrive, 35 in HubSpot (including a contact-creation bug we hit and documented), and 25 in monday CRM. That's the level of specificity we aim for on every page.
The honesty label
Every page on this site says explicitly whether its findings come from a full hands-on trial or from verified research we haven't yet tested ourselves. When we recommend a tool we've only researched, the page says so, plainly. When a tool has a real weakness — a seat minimum, a pricing gate, an EU data-residency catch — it goes in the review, even if that tool is our winner.
Who runs this
StackAdvise is run by a small independent team based in Europe, which is also why every review checks the GDPR and EU data-residency angle most US-focused review sites skip. We keep the site deliberately small: fewer pages, each one genuinely tested, beats a thousand thin ones.
How we earn
Some links on this site are affiliate links — if you buy through them, the vendor may pay us a commission at no extra cost to you. That never decides a verdict: recommendations are written before commercial terms are considered, and plenty of pages recommend tools that pay us nothing. The full policy is on the methodology page.
